Trellis

Red Oak Bench with V-Leg Design
Crafted for Conversation, Rooted in Design

Every maker remembers their first commission.
This was mine.

Trellis was designed for 5 Fifty Five Winery—a long, grounded bench made to span three tasting tables and tie the room together. The red oak base is dyed black for contrast and weight. The seat and slats, finished in grey, echo the railings and stair treads above.

But look closer.

Each of the three legs carries a subtle “V” cut into the frame—a quiet tribute to “5 Fifty Five,” built into the structure, left natural as a nod to the grain. It’s a detail most won’t notice. But for those who do, it says everything.

Like the trellises in the vineyard, this bench is made to support what matters: stories, connection, and good wine shared across generations.
